Summary of viewing for the 2019 Super Blood Wolf Moon Total Lunar Eclipse on Jan. 20th

Below is a horrible animation with voiced explanation of what is going to be happening with the eclipse on January 20th. My voice is stressed due to my disorder and I jumble some words, but you should be able to understand what to expect.

The video begins at 8 pm CST on Jan 20th and ends at 1:55 am. The length of the video is a little over a minute. The time at the bottom of the video is the actual time of occurrence on the 20th in Central Standard Time.

I hope you enjoy!

I'm currently working on building my skills with my system so that I can produce an actual series of photos of the actual event that I can combine into a video. For example, my photo of Venus is one such trial. Over the next two days, I will be attempting to catch Mars.

Many Planets on Display at Dusk (~9 pm)

As you can see from the slideshow below, several planets will be on display for the next two weeks.  Venus Jupiter, Saturn and Mars will be visible, Earth weather permitting, at Dusk until September 10, 2018.  Venus eventually fades from view as it nears the horizon and begins to show its dark side.  Our Moon will travers the planets during the ten days, but the travels past the horizon beginning on August 10th. From August 10th on, we have an excellent opportunity to view multiple planets in the night sky with minimal light interference from the Moon.

So, tonight, take you kid out, and look up at the sky.  You should be able to identify the planets as they will be the brightest in the sky.
